Welcome to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where summer programs and camps are intense, exhilarating and all about the students. Whether your passion is animation, dance, drama, filmmaking, music or visual arts, you’ll find all the hands-on experience, performance opportunities, and individual instruction from professional artists you’ve dared to dream of. Our summer programs are available for middle and high school students, as well as college-level and professional artists.  

Summer Intensives are open to students ages 12 and up.  Minimum and maximum age varies by program.  On-campus housing limited to students who are at least 14 years old by the start of programming or entering 9th grade the following fall.  For younger students and adults, visit the page below to browse summer camp offerings from our community programs Acting Out, Community Music School, and Preparatory Dance.

Summer College Online Program

Summer liberal arts classes at UNCSA offer current college students a jump-start on required classes, and enable former students to complete outstanding graduation requirements. All courses are taught online in a five-week session. Enrollment is limited.
