DLA faculty member Betsy Towns has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant to explore public acceptance of sustainable sanitation solutions. The project brings together an interdisciplinary team to address challenges in waste and wastewater management.

University Policy
Ensuring compliance with federal regulations regarding the I-9 Form is a critical responsibility of all departments. Effective January 2025, departments that permit employees to work without completing the I-9 Form will be charged a penalty fee.
University Police offers Active Shooter Response Training to campus departments to enhance safety from violent attacks. These one-hour classes provide awareness, prevention and effective response strategies, which can improve overall safety.
Student Opportunity
Thanks to generous support from the SECU Foundation, UNCSA is offering ten SECU Public Fellows Internships to current C1 through C3 students who are N.C. residents. Selected interns will be placed at a N.C. non-profit organization during the summer.
Effective Jan. 1, there will be two leave programs for EPS employees: the Annual Leave Program and the Personal Leave Program (new). The Personal Leave Program will be mandatory for EPS employees hired after Jan. 1, 2025.
