Effective Date: February 17, 2011

I. Purpose

This regulation addresses the issue of compensatory time for UNCSA SHRA employees exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) who work more than forty hours a week.

II. Scope

This regulation applies to all FLSA-exempt SHRA employees at UNCSA.

This regulation does not apply to SHRA and EHRA employees who are subject to FLSA.

A. Full-time FLSA-exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as necessary to complete their job.

B. Any FSLA-exempt employee shall not receive compensatory time off for hours worked in excess of forty hours in a workweek.

C. Exceptions to this regulation:

1. Supplemental Pay Regulation;

2. Additional Employment Regulation; AND

3. Adverse Weather Regulation
