Quality Workplace Committee

UNCSA seeks to attract, develop, and retain an exemplary faculty and staff inspired by a sense of mission, meaning, and purpose. The Quality Workplace Committee (QWC) is currently undertaking the following initiatives and will continue to seek input and feedback from the UNCSA campus community on ways to improve working at UNCSA.

The Quality Workplace Committee began working towards fostering a quality workplace environment as part of the 2015-20 strategic plan and continues in an enhanced way as part of UNCSA Forward, the 2022-27 strategic plan.

Staff Enrichment Time

The QWC will be offering skills training and wellness activities eight hours a month for eight months each year. Staff can also use the designated time for personal and professional development, and teams or departments can use this time for training as well.

Employee Engagement Survey

The UNC System surveys employees every two years. Before the systemwide initiative, the Quality Workplace conducted a similar survey. Following every survey the results are reviewed to see where we are doing well and where we need to improve.

Staff Enrichment offerings slated for June

Staff Enrichment will be held June 25 & 26. Programs will last one hour and be virtual unless otherwise noted. We have a very full month of activities; please remember that Staff Enrichment is for eight hours of time.

Staff Enrichment offerings slated for March

Staff Enrichment will be held March 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-5 p.m. Programs will last one hour and be virtual unless otherwise noted.

Staff Enrichment offerings slated for February

Staff Enrichment will be held Feb. 20 & 21 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m. Programs will last one hour and be virtual unless otherwise noted. Staff can choose self- or team-directed professional development in place of our monthly offerings, just be sure to work with your supervisor on details.
