Welcome to the UNCSA family! As a new faculty member, the next year will be filled
with new people, new experiences, and many questions. This guide is a reference to
help you successfully transition into your role as UNCSA faculty.
The Office of Faculty Affairs continually strives to improve on our efforts to better
serve new faculty. Email us your suggestions about how we can enhance our welcome even more next year.
You will receive your faculty contract via email from the Office of Faculty Affairs.
This email will be sent via AdobeSign so that you may easily sign and return your
faculty contract. Questions should be emailed to the Office of Faculty Affairs.
Human Resources will email a link to you via PeopleAdmin/TalentEd, our online employee
onboarding platform, to complete your required hiring forms. You will also receive
an eVite from CastleBranch to initiate your background check. Questions regarding

Banner E-Z Arts ID Number
All employees are issued a Banner E-Z Arts ID number. This is your unique identification
number and it will be used often (for example, to access E-Z Arts for payroll, student
records, course rosters, grading, etc.) so keep it handy.
Your Banner E-Z Arts ID number will be emailed to you from the Office of Faculty Affairs after your signed contract and hiring forms have been received and your background
check has been completed.
Canvas
UNCSA uses Canvas, a cloud-based learning management system in which faculty can post
course content, create online assignments, administer online quizzes, set up class
or small group discussions, and perform administrative tasks such as taking attendance
and setting up an online gradebook.

for faculty assistance.
Email
All employees are provided with a UNCSA email address. Your email address and password
will be emailed to you from the Office of Faculty Affairs after your signed contract and hiring forms have been received and your background
check has been completed.
E-Z Arts
E-Z Arts is a web portal you can use to view personal payroll data, student information,
course rosters, and enter grades.
Access and navigation instructions will be emailed to you from the Office of Faculty Affairs at the same time your Banner ID/E-Z Arts number is sent to you.
Headshots and Faculty Profiles
Headshots will be offered for new faculty in August. Additionally, in order to create your faculty profile page on the UNCSA website,
we ask that you complete a faculty profile form at your earliest convenience. Questions about headshots or faculty profiles should
be directed to Sasha Hartzell at hartzells@uncsa.edu.
Please contact your school/division administrative office.
One Card
The One Card is the only official form of identification at UNCSA. Your One Card acts as your
school ID, building access card, meal plan card and prepaid flexible spending account
for campus purchases & services. It should be carried at all times and must be presented
for access to campus facilities, services, campus sponsored events, and more.
Please contact your school/division administrative office to obtain a One Card. All
new card holders must present a legally issued photo ID to receive their One Card.
A parking permit is required to park on the UNCSA campus. All employees must opt
out or sign up for a parking plan. If this step is not completed, the cost of the
general parking plan will be automatically deducted from your paycheck via monthly
payroll deduction. UNCSA’s parking policies and the link to access your parking account
to sign up or opt out can be found on the Parking Policies web page.
Payroll
Payday is the last working day of the month. All employees are required to maintain
enrollment in the direct deposit program. (Refer to the Payroll webpage. ) Paychecks will be deposited on the last working day of the month.
UNCSA offers the Banner Payroll Self Service portal via E-Z Arts to all employees. Here you can access check stubs, W-2 forms, and benefits.
UNCSA ALERT
UNCSA ALERT is an emergency notification system used for timely emergency notifications
via email, phone, text message, UNCSA's Facebook and Twitter pages, and the UNCSA
website.
Faculty Enrichment Day will be held on August 8, 2024. We are excited to welcome faculty
back to campus with a day that will offer an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues,
recharge yourself, and renew your enthusiasm for teaching.
Now Accepting Proposals! We are seeking faculty who are willing to facilitate sessions
that model or demonstrate effective teaching methods, introduce beneficial wellness
practices, and/or encourage dialogue about teaching-related issues. Please submit your proposal here (opens in new tab). Deadline for proposals is April 24, 2024.

New Faculty Orientation
New Faculty Orientation (NFO) helps get new faculty acclimated, connected and set
up for a successful year. The event is for new multi-year contract faculty and full-time
adjunct faculty on a one-year contract. NFO will be Monday, Aug. 5, 2024 thru Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024. Please RSVP to Kim Bradfield by July 15, 2024.
New Faculty Benefits Enrollment
New Faculty Benefits Enrollment is a Human Resources event for Multi-Year Contract
Faculty only. You will meet with the UNCSA Benefits Manager to discuss benefit options,
and schedule an individual appointment to enroll in their selected benefits package.
Attendance is imperative so that you receive your benefits on time. Please RSVP to

You will receive your benefits information package via email for review prior to the
Benefits Enrollment session. It is important that you review this information prior
to your appointment so that you make informed decisions. If you have not received
