Welcome Squad
Welcome Squad
Orientation Leaders (commonly referred to as the "Welcome Squad") are current UNCSA
college students who know firsthand how important the transition to college life can
be. They volunteer their time, returning to campus early each fall to welcome new
students and their families, while also providing guidance throughout the orientation
experience.
These student leaders help incoming students feel more at ease by coordinating move-in
activities, leading events during orientation week, and offering a friendly face as
new students adjust to life at UNCSA. Orientation Leaders are dedicated to fostering
community, answering questions, and sharing their personal experiences to help ease
the transition.
Orientation Leaders are advised by the Director of Student Orientation, Aaron Ross,
who manages the application and selection process each spring. If you’re a current
UNCSA college student and passionate about creating a welcoming environment for incoming
students, reach out to Aaron to learn more.
