The UNCSA High School Student Government (S.G.) is a high school student led organization that benefits the UNCSA High School Student Body. We are a communication link between the students, faculty, staff, and administration on campus. We actively strive to create a more supportive, professional, and collaborative social environment that benefits all high school students.

Chlo Webster, High School Student Government President

Hi, my name is Chlo Webster, and I am excited to serve as your Student Body President this year!

This is my fourth year here at UNCSA, and I can honestly say it has been a home away from home for me. The UNCSA community is warm and open to all people. The staff, teachers, administrators, and students are supportive and fantastic resources to help you learn and reach your goals. I encourage you to reach out when you have questions. The people around you care and want to help you feel comfortable, seen, and heard.

To all of the incoming students, I know that your first days and even weeks at UNCSA will contain a roller coaster of emotions. From excitement to stress, the SG is here to support you through it all. I encourage you to soak up all that you can during your time here. You will meet friends who will inspire and motivate you. You will witness performances and observe art that will grow and encourage you to push your own, as well as the world’s, boundaries. UNCSA is a place where it is safe to challenge the limits and discover new aspects about yourself, art, and the world around you. Take part in all of the opportunities, activities and performances you can. UNCSA is a special place that has a community ready to support you no matter where you want to go in life.

As the SGA President this year I want the Student Government to be an active presence within the UNCSA High School community. It is vital to me that all students have the chance to be heard. I encourage you to reach out to any of the SG officers or to me with any ideas or concerns you have throughout the year. SG is here as a resource to support you, and I am so happy to get to know all of you this year! I wish you all the best and a truly amazing year!

Joanna Holden, High School Student Government Vice President

My name is Joanna Holden and I will serve as your High School Student Body Vice President this year. I am so excited!

UNCSA is a place where dedicated artists, students, faculty, and staff come together to create a safe and welcoming space for multiple truths and norms. With our varied experiences, knowledge, and skills, there is so much we can learn from one another. Every individual that is a part of this community works to support students and artists’ ambitions and aspirations.

Starting a new year in a new place can be overwhelming and exciting, but I want to assure you that UNCSA is welcoming you with open arms. There is so much to take in and I encourage you to soak up every bit of this unique learning experience. Get involved, meet new friends, engage with your teachers, and take every opportunity you may be offered.

Student Government is a great resource to utilize on this campus and a place where students’ voices are heard. Feel free to reach out to me at any time with thoughts and ideas to better the UNCSA community.
