Eligibility

Participation in the Summer Piano Intensive is open to students who are at least 12 years of age and a rising 7th grade student, and no older than 25 years of age at the start of the program. Commuter and Residential applications are accepted.  Students 14 to 18 are housed in Artist Village. Students over 18 and one year removed from high school are housed in the Center Stage Apartments.  Students who are under 14 or not yet rising high school freshman and all students who reside less than 25 miles from UNCSA are not eligible for campus housing.

To apply for the Summer Piano Intensive, complete an application at this link being careful to select the desired SPI25 option and submit all audition materials no later than May 1, 2025. Applicants with completed applications and audition requirements will receive a decision within 10 business days.

Note: The UNCSA Summer Piano Intensives are nearing full capacity. Auditions are still open for both residential and commuter students. Acceptance will be based on program capacity and housing availability.

Audition Requirements

Applicants should submit videos of two contrasting works which best represent their playing, along with a short bio documenting their piano studies. Links to uploaded videos are preferred. Send all materials to shteinbergd@uncsa.edu
