Meet the Fellows

During their two-year Master of Music (M.M.) program at UNCSA, Strings Fellows receive real-world artistic training and mentorship from UNCSA faculty, Winston-Salem Symphony Music Director Michelle Merrill, and musicians of the Winston-Salem Symphony.

Fellows engage with the local community in a variety of ways, including as part of the Symphony’s P.L.A.Y. (Piedmont Learning Academy for Youth) Music Program for under-served youth. They also receive arts administration, leadership and professional development training from members of the Symphony’s Senior Leadership Team.
