2024-2025 Staff Council Elected Members
Staff Council representatives are from different districts around the campus. Find your location and you'll find both your district and your representatives.  Elected representatives vote on items at meetings if a vote is called. Districts elect representatives and alternates, who can vote if their representative cannot attend a meeting.

Timeline for officers and representatives change

Refer to the By-Laws Article III: Membership.

Representatives
Mid-April: Staff members are nominated or self-nominated to be a district representative
April 30: Voting is completed, results announced.
May 1: Newly-elected representatives begin serving May 1. Election of representatives is staggered:

  • Odd-numbered districts terms end April 30, 2023
  • Even-numbered districts terms end April 30, 2024

Officers
May or June meeting: Chair-elect and Secretary/Treasurer are elected. Representatives are nominated for officer positions. These are one-year terms.

July 1: Following the one-year term, the Chair-elect assumes the Chair and the Chair assumes the Past Chair officer. The Chair appoints a Parliamentarian.

Committee Chairs
Officers invite staff members to serve as chairs on committees. Any staff member can request to serve on a committee. The Executive Committee consists of officers and standing committee chairs.
