College

At the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, the college experience extends far beyond the classroom, studio, or stage. The area of Campus Life provides spaces and opportunities where college students find connection, support, and community that helps them thrive as artists, scholars, and individuals. Whether living on campus or commuting, you'll have access to a wide range of opportunities to get involved, stay healthy, and make meaningful connections.

Campus Life at UNCSA aims to help students live and collaborate in a community of fellow creatives who inspire and challenge one another every day.

Opportunities to Engage

Campus provides countless ways to engage with the UNCSA community. Signature events such as Party on the Plaza, Fall Festival, the Artist Village Block Party, and Spring Carnival are highlights of the year, along with wellness activities, leadership opportunities, and student-led initiatives.

Campus Life programs are designed to foster creativity, leadership, and self-discovery. Whether you're looking to step into a leadership role, meet people outside your conservatory, or simply take a break from your intense schedule, there’s something for everyone.

Building Community

Residential students at UNCSA live in spaces designed for community: Artist Village and Center Stage Apartments offer both privacy and opportunities for connection. Residential Education staff and student leaders work to create a supportive environment where every student feels seen, safe, and celebrated. If you’re a commuter student, you’ll find spaces and events designed specifically to help you stay plugged in and make the most of campus life.

How to Get Involved

Want to host an event, start a club, or lead a student initiative? The Campus Life team is here to support your ideas and help you bring them to life. Students are encouraged to take an active role in shaping their own experience and building a community that reflects the values of collaboration, courage, and care.
