Assistive Technology
Learning Resources
Assistive Technology
Assistive Technology (AT) is defined as various software, equipment, or other products designed to provide greater access for individuals with disabilities in all aspects of life, including school, work, home and the community. Through Accessibility Resources offered on campus, staff take an active role in identifying and obtaining necessary assistive technology in order to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities at UNCSA.
An array of AT is available at three designated sites on campus for accommodation need and/or student use – the Teaching and Learning Center, the Library and the High School Academic Program. Although AT is designed specifically for individuals with disabilities, AT can also benefit students with temporary impairments, students with certain learning deficits, or students with English as a second language.
Call or email the Learning Resource staff to learn more about the AT available on campus.
