Office of the Provost
The Provost is the chief academic officer of the University, and is responsible for providing academic and administrative leadership in all areas related to teaching and student learning. The Provost reports to the Chancellor, and serves as the senior officer of the University responsible for ensuring that the primary mission of developing artists is carried out effectively. The Provost is charged with the academic oversight of the five arts schools, which are the schools of Dance, Design & Production, Drama, Filmmaking, and Music, as well as the undergraduate Division of Liberal Arts and the High School Academic Program. In addition, the Provost oversees the faculty, their deans, the divisions of Academic and Student Affairs, and many other departments and centers.
