Ryleigh Walker (she/her) is an actor and writer from Summerville, SC, a small town just outside of Charleston, SC. Her passion for theater started when she was casted as The Doctor in the "Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon" in seventh grade and she has been hooked ever since. She enjoys telling stories about women who have pushed the boundaries of what society told them was “normal” and finds delight in being able to represent them.
During her time at UNCSA, Ryleigh played Ella in “Life Sucks” by Aaron Posner; directed by Scott Zigler, Poncia in “The House of Bernarda Alba” by Federico Garcia Lorca directed by Michael Alvarez and Molly in “Roe” by Lisa Lomer directed by Acadia Barrengos.
Some of her upcoming roles include Adlean in “Barbecue” by Robert O’Hara; directed by Cliff Odle, and Yevgenia in “Describe the Night” by Rajiv Joseph directed by Hunter McCoy). When not on stage she can be found reading a new book, crocheting, or rewatching “New Girl” for the tenth time.
