Woodwind Festival
The UNCSA 2019 Woodwind Festival and Competition has passed.
The Festival and Competition brings together world-renowned guest artists, talented students from across the country, the community at large and UNCSA faculty and students for an intensive weekend of woodwind master classes, workshops and concerts, in addition to a national woodwind competition.

January 29 - UNCSA Woodwind Faculty Recital |
New Music for Winds - this collaborative performance by the UNCSA Wind Faculty features unique and innovative new music, including compositions by UNCSA’s faculty composers Kenneth Frazelle, Lawrence Dillon, and Michael Rothkopf. Faculty Artists include Jaren Atherholt, oboe; Tadeu Coelho, flute; Oskar Espina Ruiz, clarinet; Saxton Rose, bassoon; and Robert Young, saxophone. Watson Recital Hall - 7:30pm |
February 2 - Woodwind Day |
A full day of recitals, workshops, exhibitors, and master classes with UNCSA faculty and world-renown guest artists. |
February 3 - 2019 UNCSA Young Artists Woodwind Competition | A solo competition for bassoonists, clarinetists, flutists, oboists, and saxophonists under the age of 22. |
