Pilar Alessandra is the author of The Coffee Break Screenwriter, host of the On the Page Podcast (now in its 17th-year), and a screenwriting and pitch trainer for the NBC TV Writers Program, the CBS-Paramount Writing Program, BSO Rogers and now, very happily, an adjunct professor at UNCSA. Alessandra's greatest accomplishment is the achievement of her students, many of whom gained success on series such as House of the Dragon, The Morning Show, The Chi and Silicon Valley and have sold feature films to A24, Netflix and Warner Bros.
My classes are interactive with a "learn by doing" approach. I encourage my students to generate pages and ideas as they learn key concepts. I like to provide actionable writing tools; not just theory.
