Nancy Goldsmith is an emeritus faculty member of the UNCSA Division of Liberal Arts. From 1975-2008 she taught Italian and Humanities, and served as Assistant Dean, College (1988-2002). She provided supertitle translations for the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute (2000-2020).
Goldsmith was an interpreter for the [U]NCSA International Music Program, 1976-77 and 1987-88. Additional professional study included a Fulbright Summer Seminar in Rome and Perugia, 1982; NEH Summer Seminars in 1984, 1998 and 2002; and an AATI Summer Seminar for Teachers of Italian, Siena, 1991. She served as staff Italian diction coach for Piedmont Opera Theatre, 1985-1996 and co-director of SACS Self-Study, 1993-95.
