Molly Bernstein

Molly Bernstein is filmmaker/editor with a long-standing and passionate interest in the craft of storytelling and the history of world cinema. She has worked in the documentary field as a director, producer and editor.

Bernstein has explored fictional narrative filmmaking extensively through documentary work she made about movies and directors (for Sundance Channel, AMC and The Criterion Collection). She learned the craft of editing by assisting on feature films by directors like Martin Scorsese, Arthur Penn, Melvin Van Peebles, Julie Dash and Allison Anders.
