Lauren Anderson
Lauren Anderson is the academic and college counselor for all Music and Visual Arts students in the High School Academic Program. She has worked in education since 2017 as a teacher and now as a counselor. She began her career as a choir teacher, musical director, and a private piano and voice lesson instructor in Baltimore.
 
While at Johns Hopkins University for her master's degree, Anderson participated in the Counseling Fellows Program. She moved to North Carolina in 2020 and began working in Thomasville Public Schools as a counselor at the elementary and high school levels.

  • As a school counselor, has led sessions for the North Carolina School Counselors Association conferences about trauma informed educational practices and SafeZone training.
