Alejandra Dore was born and studied classical ballet in Santo Domingo, DR. She joined the National Ballet Company and was appointed soloist. She has also performed with Maryland Ballet, Ballet Concierto, Baillet, CompaƱia Nacional de Danza del Ecuador and Winston-Salem Festival Ballet.
Her repertoire includes the Grand Pas de Quatre, Carmen, Les Sylphides, Giselle, Nutcracker, The Fille Mal Garde, Carmina Burana, Le Sacre du Printemps, Le Corsaire and Don Quixote among others. She has participated in tours including North Carolina Dance Festival, New York, International Ballet Festival of Miami, Haiti (Compagnie de Ballet Classique Nationale D' Haiti and Institut de Danse Regine Mont-Rossier Trouillot), Egypt and Galapagos Islands. As teacher and director she is a certified of the ABT National Training Curriculum (Pre-Primary - 6,7 & Partnering), Vaganova Syllabus and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT).
She was co-founder of the Ballet Los Prados in the DR and served as the artistic director and teacher of CompaƱia Nacional de Danza del Ecuador and academic director of DANZARTE. Currently she is on the faculty of In Motion Conservatory Ballet, Director of Artistic Motion Preparatory Academy and the UNCSA Preparatory Dance Program in Winston-Salem.
