If you’re wondering whether a modest gift to the SECC will have an impact, the answer
is a resounding “yes.” Every donation — small or large — helps create meaningful change.
- As little as $10 can provide three nutritious meals for a senior or full vaccinations
for five kittens.
- As little as $25 can provide a family with essential needs after a disaster or four
months of hygiene supplies to a person in need.
- A gift of $50 can provide prenatal vitamins to three expectant mothers or two children
with STEM kits and virtual instruction.
- A charitable $100 gift can provide 20 blankets for children displaced by conflict
or a month of utility bills paid for a hospice patient.
- A generous $250 donation can provide 25 middle schools with monthly arts education
or two water-efficient pumps installed to irrigate farmland.
- An extraordinary $500 gift can provide six months of PTSD therapy to a veteran or
three domestic plane tickets for patients needing treatment.

About SECC
The State Employees Combined Campaign was created to offer state employees of North
Carolina a choice in directing their contributions to charitable organizations. Celebrating
its 40th anniversary this year, SECC has provided a trusted way to support local,
state, national and international charities, and remains the only campaign authorized
to solicit state employees in the workplace. No state monies are used to run the campaign.
Charity Navigator
This year, over 750 charitable organizations are eligible for donations, including organizations helping with Hurricane Helene Relief! Please visit the SECC website or the Charity Navigator to learn more about this year’s
charities.
UNCSA Campaign
Our UNCSA campaign began on Sept. 17 and concludes on Nov. 22. Our monetary goal this
year is to donate a combined $5,000, and our participation goal is 50 employees.
In 2023, UNCSA employees contributed $6,448 and 40 employees made donations! Let's
beat last year's totals this year.
If you make your donation by the end of our campaign, you’ll be entered into a raffle
to win a reserved parking spot near your office. (Please note that because of tax
rules you will still need to pay for the spot using the nonreserved rate.)
How to Donate
Donating is simple. On Oct. 4, you were emailed an "ePledge" link, allowing you to
make your pledge online. Can’t find it? You may also donate via the 2023 Online Pledge
Form that can be submitted directly to the SECC.
If you would like to space out your contribution, payroll deduction is available (January
through December 2025). Small monthly payroll deduction pledges allow you to make
a more powerful impact over time, and all of your contributions are tax-deductible.
