April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

Blue PinwheelDid you know that the blue ribbon has become a symbol of our commitment to ending child abuse?

It all started back in the 1980s when a grandmother tied a blue ribbon to the antenna of her vehicle as a tribute to her three-year-old grandson, who had tragically passed away from child abuse.

Since then, the blue ribbon has become a powerful symbol of hope and solidarity. Throughout the month of April, join us in spreading awareness to protect our children and promote a safe environment where all children are able to thrive.

Pinwheels for Prevention Garden

The Office of Community and Belonging is excited to announce that we've partnered with the High School Student Government Association to plant a beautiful Pinwheel Garden on campus during the first week of April. These vibrant blue pinwheels serve as a symbol of hope and awareness, shining a light on our commitment to prevent child abuse in our community.
