Staff Enrichment offerings slated for February

Staff EnrichementStaff Enrichment will be held Feb. 20 & 21 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m. Programs will last one hour and be virtual unless otherwise noted.

Staff can choose self- or team-directed professional development in place of our monthly offerings, just be sure to work with your supervisor on details. Recordings of most prior workshops are available for use in self-directed enrichment time.

Tuesday, February 20

  • Byte-Size Tech: Odds, Ends (& Loops)
    • 10-11 a.m.

    • A continuation of last month’s session on new components in Microsoft Outlook, this session will touch on even more Outlook features to help improve productivity, including (but certainly not limited to) setting up rules for incoming and outgoing emails, email encryption rules and even more uses for Loop components.

    • The UNCSA Archives serves as the institutional memory of our institution – collecting, preserving and providing access to material of all kinds that tell the story of UNCSA’s past. This digital tour will allow staff a window into the resources available to staff spanning from UNCSA’s earliest days to today.
  • Creativity & Wellness

    • Location: SAAB 241
    • Join the group for some relaxation through creative expression. Bring your own projects or grab a provided coloring book to spend some stress-relief time with colleagues while exploring creative endeavors.

  • Vision Boards: Part 2 – The Power of Creating a Vision Board

    • In this second session in a two-part series, participants will take steps towards creating the vision board mapped out in January’s first session and learn about the power of creating a visual representation of their goals.
  • Performance Hour
    • 2-3 p.m.
    • Hosted by the UNCSA School of Music
    • Location: Crawford Hall
    • The entire campus community is welcome to attend these free, weekly performances showcasing student progress in the UNCSA School of Music. The pieces vary weekly and are determined by what students are working on this year. Be sure to register in order to receive updates on Performance Hour as they are available.
  • Behind-the-Scenes: Winter Dance
    • 3-4 p.m.
    • Hosted by Juel Lane
    • Location: Microsoft Teams
    • Join for a presentation from and Q&A with guest choreographer and UNCSA alum Juel Lane surrounding the inspiration for his piece in this year’s Winter Dance.
