Lily Afghani is a Mexican-Iranian theatermaker and writer studying Directing at the UNCSA School of Drama.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Lily has always held community and humanity as a fundamental pillar of their theater-making, aiming to nurture spaces in which art creation bubbles and bursts as a room full of loved ones does.
However, with a familial history of immigration and assimilation, the other side of Lily’s art has begun to explore the intersectional relationships between culture, colonialism, sexuality and our behavior.
