Kiara Mazariegos (she/her) is a first gen Guatemalan - American actor from Brooklyn, New York. Kiara’s introduction to the arts began with her storming her mother’s closet- wearing her clothes, heels and makeup, giving her the creative freedom to become different types of people. Her curiosity inevitably led to the pursuit of her artistic dreams and professional career. She is extremely grateful for her time and all the opportunities she has received at UNCSA.
Kiara’s latest works include “Lydia” as our very own Lydia, “Roe” as Connie, “Mother Courage and her children” as Farmer’s Wife. In her upcoming role this fall you can catch Kiara in “Dance Nation” as Sofia, and the spring semester’s Keys piece “This Is Our Youth” as Jessica.
When she’s not working on her craft you can find her in the kitchen cooking/baking, dressing to the nines just to go for a walk, or watching “Insidious” at 8 a.m. with a nice cup of coffee. Black, obviously.
