Jasil Olabode is a second-year graduate music composition student in the School of Music studying with Jared Miller.
Jasil holds a BM in Music Composition from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. During his undergraduate studies, he discovered his desire for collaboration between the arts.
Interdisciplinary collaboration is critical for the growth and development of any artist. It provides a space to engage in a conversation, where each member has shared ownership in the creative process. Jasil believes that through the collaborative process, ultimately, we leave the conversation enriched and inspired to approach our craft in a new manner.
In his second year as an ArtistCorps member, Jasil looks forward to continuing his work within the community, serving its members, and supporting his colleagues.
