Jaclyn Yee

Jaclyn Yee is a proud Chinese-American queer artist hailing from Detroit, Michigan. Growing up in the buzzing music scene of the mitten, she was struck by the power of live music and how performing could be a bridge to connect with others’ humanity.

As an actor, singer, dancer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Jaclyn is passionate about works that highlight the experiences of Asian American and queer communities; and as a seasoned musician—she is a sucker for a musical. Recent credits include Pickles in "Life Sucks" (dir. Scott Zigler), Marks in "Bull in a China Shop" (dir. Jammie Patton), Madelaine True in "The Wild Party" (dir. Clifford Odle), and music directing the UNCSA Drama Class of 2025 Senior Cabaret.

Upcoming projects include Emma Jenkins in "The Welkin" (dir. Acadia Barrengos), Doctor Frans in "Wink" (dir. Darah Barenholtz), and Lucille in UNCSA fourth-year thesis film, "Hanging Wire" (dir. Erika Sharp).
