Hannah Staton was born and raised in Thailand, where dance became a safe space at an early age. As her passion in dance grew, she stopped sports to attend UNCSA’s Summer Intensive in 2016, where her movement vocabulary expanded. Her family and dog, Jazz, moved to America after she was accepted into UNCSA’s high school program for her senior year.
Once granted the Kenan Scholarship for high school, she continued into the college program. Hannah has performed works by Robert Battle, José Limón, Ming-Lung Yang and others, along with being yoga certified. After graduation, Hannah hopes to practice and explore movement professionally.
