Elise McFarland is an actor who grew up among the trees in the Pacific Northwest,
specifically the greater Seattle area. She loves to tell complicated underdog stories
about the people in the world we tend to ignore. Characters who might appear offbeat
or disturbed on the surface, but who really carry universal human fears, are of intense
interest to her. Finding the hope in uncomfortable, icky places is her primary goal,
both as an actor and as a modern day human. She is also a writer and lover of poetry,
particularly the work of Sylvia Plath and Mary Oliver.
Some of her favorite films include "Requiem for a Dream" when she wants to cry, and
any one of the Lord of the Rings movies when she wants to smile. She loves french
fries for dinner and going places she’s not supposed to. She will be playing Linda
Lauzon in Michel Tremblay's "Les Belles-Seours" this spring, as well as Agnes in "Agnes
of God" by John Pielmeier.
