Elena Gimenez, a versatile mover from Madison, Alabama, has trained extensively in all styles and danced competitively for the majority of her life. During her time at UNCSA, Elena has grown immensely as an artist, performing works by Aszure Barton, Robert Battle, Brenda Daniels, José Limón, Merce Cunningham and Douglas Dunn.
Beyond her formal ballet and modern training, Elena has a passion for musical theatre, commercial dance, and choreography. In recent years, she has choreographed and performed in three full length musicals, receiving two awards for Best Choreography. After graduation, Elena hopes to travel and perform in contemporary companies, while further developing her passion for choreography and musical theatre.
