Chelsea Rose is an actor, singer and composer from the suburbs of Durham, North Carolina. She began as a young dancer at her local children’s theatre and since, has been unstoppable when stepping foot onto any stage she reaches. She’s been beyond blessed to call UNCSA her artistic home for the past four years. Her time here has deepened her desire to reach audiences through imaginative avenues that spark hope and encourage connection.
Chelsea has had the lovely opportunity of taking on several roles since being at UNCSA. She’ll finish her time at UNCSA having played Heléne in Dave Malloy’s “Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812,” directed by Quin Gordon.
Chelsea is also actively developing her new original musical, “Loving This Year” a full-length two-act musical with its book, music and lyrics also by her. She also enjoys baking desserts from scratch, strolling down a farmer’s market, and looking at starry skies.
Chelsea is super grateful to have received the education she’s acquired at UNCSA and plans to continue pursuing live theatre, television, film and to produce original work! She can’t give enough thanks to her family, faculty, and Jesus himself. Keep an eye out for her!
