Ariel J. Sandino is a Latino-American actor descending from proud Nicaragüense parents. Ariel was born and raised in the Bay Area of California, while growing up loving the performing arts and playing sports in school. Ariel would watch Al Pacino with his older brother on television and hasn’t looked back since.
Growing up, Ariel developed a deep fascination for psychology, sociology and spirituality; which led him to pursue these subjects avidly at his previous community college. It wasn’t until Ariel joined an improv club in 2014, at the age of 18, that he knew acting was still a burning passion for him. For the next few years, Ariel immersed himself in many different acting classes and professional productions across the Bay Area—in order to ready himself for conservatory level training. Those roles/productions include: Cassio in "Othello," directed by Carl Jordan; Lance Cpl Dawson in "A Few Good Men," directed by Joel Roster; and Jim in "The Glass Menagerie," directed by Randy Anger.
Ariel is currently studying to be a personal trainer which highlights his devotion to health/wellness, fitness and bodybuilding. He wants to continue to inspire people not only through his art, but by mental and physical fitness self-care routines—and physical fitness goals for his clients. Ariel treasures his four years spent at UNCSA and will likely be venturing to NYC after he graduates in the spring. He would also like to thank his mom for being the greatest supporter and number one fan he’s ever had.
