Arianna Bohning

Having arrived from the Midwest, Arianna Bohning is a collaborative pianist currently residing in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. An active freelance musician, she has collaborated with both large and small ensembles in the area, such as the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Western Piedmont Symphony, Winston-Salem Symphony and Piedmont Wind Symphony.

In addition to being a member of the piano staff at UNCSA, where she accompanies lessons, masterclasses and recitals, Arianna also serves as adjunct faculty at Winston-Salem State University as the piano accompanist for both applied lessons and the University Choir. She also enjoys playing in the musical theater world, and collaborates with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Schools on their Summer Enrichment musical productions and accompanies for UNCSA School of Drama classes.

Arianna is originally from Seward, Nebraska, and has been a multi-instrumentalist since starting on piano at age seven and oboe in sixth grade. She holds degrees from Iowa State University and from UNCSA, where she studied under the tutelage of Dr. Allison Gagnon. Past teachers have included Margo Garrett, Polina Khatsko, Amy Christensen and Sally Jost. When she is not playing the piano, she enjoys playing pickle ball, crocheting and tending to her assortment of house plants
