Born in New York City, raised mainly in Miami, Florida, and with most of her family living in Cataluña, Spain…Alex brings her eclectic, especial and wondrous perspective on life into all of her artistic work. She has always been fascinated by the human experience and the capacity we have for deep connections through our truth, joy, love and everything else that makes us people. So much so, that before learning acting could be a career, her dream job as a child was to be a waitress. What could be better than a job that combines food and connecting with a variety of people?
But since being cast as the Monarch Butterfly in her Kindergarten mandatory play “Bugs,” Alex hasn’t been able to let go of the rush that comes with living in the present moment as different versions of herself (butterfly included). She went on to study theatre at New World School of the Arts for high school, has had the honor of attending Youngarts as a theater finalist, and is now finishing up her training at UNCSA. Alex has most recently played Norca in “Our Lady of 121st Street,” and later this semester can be seen as #00 in “The Wolves” as well as leading in some more exciting film collaborations with the School of Filmmaking. She hopes to inspire people to relish every opportunity we have in life to nurture our inner child.
