Aisha Sougou (she/her) is Senegalese-American artist originally from Greensboro, North Carolina. She began acting at the Community Theatre of Greensboro and fell in love with craft ever since. When she is not acting she is singing, and has been her entire life. Her passion is driven by her love for her family and culture; in which she hold very dear to her heart.
While at UNCSA she has been able to hone in on her skills in various ways and developed new passions such as designing and costume technician. She loves to crochet and braid hair in her free time. Her recent work includes role of Anna Cambell in Pearl Clege’s Angry, Raucous, and Shamelessly Gorgeous as well as Desi/Renata/Sherry in Passing Strange by Stew. She is also privileged to be working with the School of Film in the upcoming short film entitled “Crow’s Nest.”
