On Demand: Zephyr

"Zephyr," a classical ballet dance work choreographed for drone by UNCSA student Yu Yao Sutherland, features two high school and two undergraduate ballet students and was filmed on the tennis courts near UNCSA at Salem Academy and College.

On Demand: Volant Matter

"Volant Matter" is set around the iconic sculpture known as the "Elephants" on the UNCSA campus. Designed by former UNCSA visual arts instructor Robert Costelloe and dedicated in 1971, the sculpture was in fact inspired by hippopotamuses he had witnessed in Africa.

On Demand: UNCSA School of Music Annual Concerto Competition

Students from the School of Music compete in the final round of the annual Concerto Competition. The winner earns the opportunity to perform as a featured soloist with the UNCSA Symphony Orchestra or Wind Ensemble.

On Demand: Billy Hunter and Anna Stoytcheva in Recital

Billy Hunter, principal trumpet with the MET Opera Orchestra and professor of trumpet at the University of Texas at Austin, performs a recital with pianist Anna Stoytcheva.

On Demand: Anima Vox

Anima Vox and friends perform works written and inspired by Black, Indigenous, and other underrepresented composers incorporating multimedia elements and free improvisation. Featuring a world premiere composition by UNCSA student Phoebe Pylant.

On Demand: Phyllis Pancella: An Evening of Vocal Chamber Music

Faculty-artist Phyllis Pancella, mezzo-soprano, presents a program of vocal chamber music, including works by Loeffler, Respighi and Berio, as well as the performance premiere of "ramonanewyorkamsterdam" by Kamala Sankaram.

On Demand: UNCSA Chamber Music Festival Concert

The School of Music presents a concert showcasing great works of chamber music. Faculty members Robert Young, Allison Gagnon, Jaren Atherholt, Saxton Rose, Dmitri Vorobiev, Kevin Lawrence, Ulrich Eichenauer and Brooks Whitehouse perform, along with students Chris Forbes, Bella Ward and Sophie Lyman.

On Demand: Evening with the Great Rs of the 20th Century and Art

Faculty-artist Dmitri Vorobiev, piano, presents a solo recital featuring Ravel's "Le Tombeau de Couperin" and Rachmaninoff's Etudes-tableaux Op. 39. Music accompanied by a slideshow of paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries.

On Demand: A UNCSA Cello Homecoming with Samuel Magill

Distinguished cellist Samuel Magill (H.S. '71) returns to UNCSA, joining faculty-artist Dmitri Shteinberg, piano, for a special recital of masterworks by Franco Alfano, Eugene Bozza and John Ireland, as well as an "all UNCSA" cello collaboration.
