Virtual Backgrounds
New: "Sonata" virtual backgrounds are now available! Enhance your next virtual class or meeting with a UNCSA background. Follow the step by step guide below:
Instructions + "Sonata" download for Zoom
1. Download the suite of backgrounds to your computer. Note: The default Zoom video setting is mirrored. When using this option, the text on your virtual background may appear backwards to you. However, it will appear correctly to others in your Zoom call.
2. In the Zoom app, select your profile photo in the top right corner, and select Settings.
3. On the menu to the left, select Virtual Background.
4. You'll see a few default background options provided by Zoom. Select the + icon to the right of where it says Choose Virtual Background. A box will pop up allowing you to upload a photo from your computer. Choose the photo you want, then select Open. Your new background will appear alongside the other pictures as an option for you to choose from.
5. Repeat step 3 to add additional photos. To remove the mirrored video setting, uncheck the box at the bottom of the pop up box.

3. Select Show background effects.
4. Select Add new. A box will pop up allowing you to upload a photo from your computer. Choose the photo you want, then select Open. Your new background will appear alongside the other pictures as an option for you to choose from.
5. Repeat step 3 to add additional photos.
