Bring leading figures in the field of free improvisation to campus for master classes,
lectures, and a public performance. These artists will engage with students, faculty,
and administrators of the school of music to examine the role of improvisation in
the 21st century conservatory curriculum.

Visit several ancient, medieval, and early modern labyrinths in Italy to study and
document them in situ; present a public lecture on this topic at UNCSA in Fall 2018;
