Laura Dugan is a Winston-Salem native who spent her early career as an attorney in
an international law firm, specializing in securities, mergers and acquisitions, and
corporate transactions. After taking time off to be home with young children, she
returned to legal practice focusing on corporate governance, and now she is a luxury
travel advisor at Crafted Escapes.
Dugan earned both her B.A. (English, French majors; minor in Theater Studies) and
J.D. from Duke University. While a student, she was a member of the musical theatre
performance group and Duke Law Drama Society, besides studying the piano and attending
a summer theatre intensive in London.
Her volunteer work includes serving as a former president of the Parents Association
of Forsyth Country Day School and she is currently vice chair of the FCDS Board of
Trustees. She also sings in the Centenary United Methodist choir.
