Donovan Vega
Donovan is an American cellist from Sarasota Florida, with a passion for teaching, performing, and collaborating. He is enthusiastic about connecting with his community and sharing his passion for music, firmly believing in its power to unite people. He is currently in the second year of his master's at UNCSA studying with Brooks Whitehouse, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida under the tutelage of Scott Kluksdahl and Helga Winold. He also received training in the Suzuki teaching method from the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival Suzuki Institute this past summer.
 
In 2023, Donovan appeared as a guest artist in the Rutenberg and Steinway Chamber Music Concert Series at USF, and has been featured in several concerts in NC, including: Happy Birthday, Mozart!, and the Black Sacred Music Symposium. As an active member of the orchestral community in North Carolina, Donovan plays with the Winston-Salem Symphony, Western Piedmont Symphony, and The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle.
