Dave Olson

Dave Olson was named an emeritus faculty member of the UNCSA Division of Liberal Arts in 2020. He taught in various capacities at UNCSA from 2004-20.

Olson began his career at UNCSA in 2004 in the Performance Art Management program in the School of Design & Production and was director of the M.F.A. program in Performing Arts Management from 2011-15. In 2016, he transitioned to the Division of Liberal Arts, offering arts management, entrepreneurship and personal finance courses. In 2018, he developed the first minor offered at UNCSA in Arts Entrepreneurship and worked as the program coordinator. He was a faculty advisor for the Artpreneur Grant Program starting in 2017 and the program advisor for the UNCSA partnership with the Wake Forest University School of Business. He was posthumously awarded Emeritus Faculty in 2020.
