These professional opportunities are made possible by the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust and the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) Foundation. These programs are offered through the UNCSA Office of Career Development.
SECU Public Fellows Internship Program
With the support of the SECU Foundation, UNCSA is offering six SECU Public Fellows Internships to current first-year through third-year students. Each intern will work 300 hours over the summer and receive $5,000. The internship is intended to develop student leaders and build capacity at nonprofit and government agencies in rural North Carolina.
Fellowships at The Kennedy Center
The William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at The Kennedy Center provides emerging theater artists with a wide variety of experiences bridging their academic training with the professional theater community in Washington, D.C.
Fellowships at Lincoln Center Education
Six candidates from the UNCSA Schools of Dance, Drama and Music are selected for a seven-month William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at Lincoln Center Education. During the fellowship, Fellows will be supported in their transition from a conservatory training program to the NYC professional artistic community, with a focus in three aspects of development: teaching artistry, network building, and artistry.
