Orientation Leaders, known as the Welcome Squad, are current UNCSA college students
who understand the challenges of transitioning to college life.
These student leaders play a vital role in supporting incoming students by coordinating
move-in activities, leading events during orientation week, offering a welcoming presence
and hosting virtual summer sessions to connect with new students before their arrival.
Dedicated to building a strong sense of community, Orientation Leaders answer questions,
share personal experiences and help ease the transition to life at UNCSA. They are
guided by the Director of Student Orientation, Aaron Ross, who oversees the application
and selection process each spring.
If you're interested in becoming an Orientation Leader for 2025-26, contact Christopher Crawford at crawford.cw@artist.uncsa.edu for more details. A faculty recommendation is required to interview — please be sure to have a faculty member submit a recommendation form on your behalf
