Hold the Date: Celebration of Excellence is April 30
Please plan to attend the annual Celebration of Excellence on Wednesday, April 30, from 12:15-2 p.m. at Daniels Plaza.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to come out early, if possible, to participate
and enjoy the festivities. Refreshments will be available throughout the event.
John R. Beck will lead a drum circle from 12:15-12:45 p.m. to kick off the celebration. Due to the designated Intermission hour observed on
Wednesdays, the Jazz Ensemble students will not be providing live music as usual.
However, jazz will be streamed through the sound system from 12:45-1 p.m.
At 1 p.m., the Awards Ceremony will begin, with Chancellor Brian Cole and Provost Patrick J.
Sims serving as emcees.
In case of rain, the celebration will be held in Eisenberg Social Hall in the Hanes Student Commons.
Remember to come early to participate in the drum circle, enjoy the jazz music, and see your friends and colleagues receive recognition! Maybe you will, too!
