School of Dance Admissions

The UNCSA School of Dance provides preparatory, high school and undergraduate programs in both Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance. In addition to your online application and required documents, the admissions process includes an audition. Whether you've been dancing for many years or just a few, if you have talent or potential, you can become the dancer that is uniquely you.

The requirements for admission vary according to academic level, so begin by selecting the high school or undergraduate academic level to learn how to apply. Additional information and requirements for international and transfer students are referenced within the academic level pages.

Preparatory Dance is for rising 3rd-9th grades. Auditions for the Preparatory Dance are held in May and August on the UNCSA campus. The admissions process is conducted directly through the Preparatory Dance program.
