Sidni Kennedy

Born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Dallas, Texas. She first began dancing at the age of 5 at Ms. Jenna’s Dance Company before moving to Texas and dancing at Dallas Black Dance Theatre a few years later. Currently, Sidni is a fourth year in college working towards her BFA in contemporary dance at University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), where they have continued to expand their training even further, picking up many more techniques including Cunningham, Limón, and West African. Here, they have had the opportunity of working with Juel Lane, Ashley Lindsay, Ming-Lung, and Kira Blazek-Ziaii. Within their four years at UNCSA, they have also carried on exploring their choreography and different production processes. Throughout her time in college, she has been able to develop exceptional adapting and problem solving skills, helping her to be an efficient and dedicated worker. Outside of UNCSA, Sidni is a certified Pilates instructor, and continues to experiment with and enhance her skills with different art forms and media such as makeup, jewelry making, sculpting, and painting. Sidni will graduate in Spring of 2025 and is looking forward to dancing and choreographing afterwards.
