Karim Fatkhutdinov

Karim Fatkhutdinov is a third-year undergraduate Production Design student in the School of Filmmaking. He has experience working in film and TV, as well as a long-standing passion for music production. At UNCSA, he has undertaken leadership roles in the International Student Association and Welcome Squad, and is currently participating in the See/a/change Fellowship program.

Karim was born in Istanbul, Turkey, but grew up in Guangzhou in the south of China. His early artistic passion was music, although later on he spent time exploring programming and urban planning before finally comitting to filmmaking. To Karim, art is a way to connect people who may not having many obvious similarities. This has been his goal since coming to Winston-Salem and what he hopes to do in ArtistCorps and everywhere else.
