Ferin Bergen was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ferin has been surrounded by theatre from a very early age, as she grew up hearing Sweeney Todd and Spring Awakening on repeat around the house. Aside from acting, you can usually find Ferin shooting film, drinking an americano, in a handstand, or doing Special FX makeup for fun. Making art that reflects real life is what comforts Ferin most about the craft, and what she seeks in her art. She feels endlessly lucky to have found her home studying Acting at UNCSA in Winston Salem.
Some of her recent credits at UNCSA include Betty Whitehouse in Dangerous Corner (dir. Caroline Cearley), Celia in Shaina Taub’s As You Like It (dir. Andy Paris), and Jo in Meat (dir. Grace Steckler). Up next, she will be playing Hellena in The Rover (dir. Carl Forsman), and Seraphine in Superfake (dir. Sam Lee Baladejo).
