Christian Ahmad Brown is an actor and mover from Greenwood, South Carolina. Christian discovered his love for acting a little later in life while attending his performing arts middle school. He has developed a passion for creative storytelling, collaborating with other artists and hearing their stories as well.
Outside of acting, Christian is also a part of the ballroom community, an underground queer subculture in which people "walk" (i.e., compete), perform, dance, lip-sync and model in different categories. These categories are designed to both epitomize and satirize gender constructs, occupations and social classes, while also offering an escape from reality.
During his time at UNCSA, Christian has portrayed Emperor Joseph II in “Amadeus” (by Peter Shaffer) and played the role of Dad in “If Pretty Hurts Ugly Must be a Muhfucka” (by Tori Sampson). In the upcoming months, you can catch Christian in “Dance Nation” (by Claire Barron) as the character Luke and in “TorchSong Trilogy” (by Harvey Fierstein) as the character Alan.
Through all of his work at the school and beyond, he has found a way to authentically bring himself to each character he’s had the opportunity to connect with on paper. Christian is profoundly grateful for the people he has met along his journey and the opportunity to study at such a wonderful conservatory.
He obtained his Associates in Business Administration in the Summer of 2023. In the Spring of 2024, he will graduate with his B.F.A. in Acting.
