Unrestricted Music/Liberal Arts Credits¹

¹ Unrestricted Music or Liberal Arts Credits may be fulfilled at any time during the four years of the program using any course offered through the School of Music or the Division of Liberal Arts.

² Lessons earn either 2 or 3 credits, determined by the concentration teacher with approval of the Dean of the School of Music (or designee).

³ All music students must perform in ensembles as assigned, even beyond the minimum. Any combination of MUS 51X0 may be used to fulfill the minimum requirement. Large Ensemble assignments are made by the ensemble directors in consultation with the major teacher; Chamber Ensemble assignments are approved by the major teacher.

⁴ Liberal Arts elective credits may be fulfilled using any course offered through the Division of Liberal Arts.

⁵ Music elective credits may be fulfilled using any course offered through the School of Music except for ensemble courses.
